Product Information

This wine has fruit from 10-year-old MV6 and 115 vines from select blocks at Capella Vineyard. The fruit was handpicked and chilled overnight then destemmed and sorted by hand. It was vinified with wild yeasts in open fermenters with hand plunging. The wine was matured for 10 months in oak barrels from a selection of Burgundian coopers, about 40% new. Meticulous blending has created a wine that shows the best of Capella Vineyard and season 2017.

Fruit from select blocks at Capella Vineyard is handpicked, destemmed and sorted by hand to ensure only the finest berries make it into this beautifully perfumed, supple and silky wine. The aromas are classic Pinot Noir – cherries, strawberries and earthy spice – with the purity and perfume we have come to expect of Capella Vineyard. The palate combines power and grace with great texture and silky-smooth tannin.
