A sublime rum here from Dictador, distilled back in 1974 and allowed a finishing period in a whisky cask. Not just any whisky cask, mind. Specifically, it was a whisky cask from one of Speyside’s most revered distillery’s – Glenfarclas! Dictador’s 2 Masters series is all about teaming up with top drinks producers from around the world, and they certainly did just that for this terrific expression!
Limited edition of 363 bottles.
Nose: Vintage leather in an old car, a carriage from the Orient Express. Well kept cigar boxes, cinnamon and nutmeg backed with just a hint of summer fruit compote.
Palate: Rich and smooth with some elements of delicate sherry coming through, a hint of toasted vanilla and some light toffee tones. A touch of orange and a hint of milk chocolate truffle.
Finish: Woody notes of old castles living rooms, brings us right back to where we started, that vintage car once again.
